Coma Recovery Scale Revised - For Accelerated Standardized Testing

The Coma Recovery Scale-Revised for Accelerated Standardized Assessment (CRSR-FAST), developed by the Spaulding-Harvard Traumatic Brain Injury Model System, is an abbreviated version of the CRS-R that is validated for use in the intensive care unit for behavioral evaluation of level of consciousness (Bodien…Giacino, Ann Neuro, In Press). There are 5 core items that are intended to differentiate patients who are conscious from those who are not conscious and additional supplementary items that can be used for more detailed differential diagnosis. Administration time is approximately 6 minutes. An accompanying administration and scoring manual standardizes the CRSR-FAST assessment to maximize validity and reliability.
