Hospital Rehab
Hospital or inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, like Spaulding Boston and Spaulding Cape Cod, offer hospital-level, or acute, rehabilitation care. This is the most comprehensive level of rehabilitation care, and it is designed to help patients improve function and regain independence after a serious illness, injury or surgery. Our teams work closely with your physician to balance medical treatment with overall recovery to get you back to health and back to life as soon as possible.
Most patients stay for a week to up to a month, with the average being 13 – 15 days, and participate in a minimum of three hours of rehab each day.
-
Long-term Acute
Spaulding Hospital for Continuing Medical Care Cambridge offers a range of treatments and rehabilitation services for people with complex medical conditions that require a high level of attention and a longer recovery period. Long-term Acute Care Hospitals help people with complex or chronic conditions improve function and quality of life.
Length of a patient’s stay at a Long-term Acute facility is typically measured in months.
-
Skilled Nursing
Spaulding Nursing and Therapy Center Brighton provides therapy and medical treatment for persons who no longer require acute hospital-level care. A Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) may be the best choice when you or a family member needs ongoing care in conjunction with other services such as physical and occupational therapy, speech pathology, audiology services and more.
-
Outpatient
For diagnosis, treatment or advanced rehabilitation on an ongoing basis, outpatient therapy gives you access to the benefit and support of experienced physical, occupational, and speech therapists, audiologists, prosthetists, orthotists and other specialists when you don't need to stay in the hospital.
-
At Home
For high-quality care when home offers practical benefits, comfort and enhanced quality of life. Mass General Brigham Home Care brings the most advanced therapy and caring staff, right to your door.
