Spaulding's Approach to Yoga
The goal of yoga, and all our integrative health services, is to enhance therapy outcomes by providing options for alternative medicine techniques to be combined in conjunction with your current therapy. We aim to assist you with pain and stress management as well as improve flexibility and balance. We believe that learning self-management tools that utilize the healing resources of body, mind, and spirit can empower you to more effectively meet your goals.
At Spaulding Outpatient Centers, our instructors will teach you how to:
- Release tight muscles
- Improve postural alignment
- Increase circulation
- Relieve stress and fatigue
- Increase functional strength
- Modify yoga postures to accommodate individual differences (i.e., participate standing, sitting in chairs, or on the floor)
Suitable for beginners or experienced yoga practitioners of all abilities. We will work with you to adapt to your medical condition and ability level. Must be 18 or older.
