Spaulding Rehabilitation Celebrates John Means Spencer Caregiver Awards
As part of the National Rehab Week celebration, staff gathered for the 18th annual 2019 John Means Spencer Caregiver Award, presented by the Diana Davis Spencer Foundation. After reviewing 75 nominees, four caregivers were selected to receive the award. Congratulation to this year's recipients Elizabeth Pellegrini, PT Spaulding Brighton, Lisa James, PCA, Spaulding Hospital Cambridge, Caroline Collins, OT, Spaulding Cape Cod and Erin Foley, PT, Spaulding Salem OP Center.
This award was established in 2001 to honor direct caregivers throughout Spaulding Rehabilitation – including all inpatient or outpatient centers who demonstrate an extraordinary level of commitment to the Spaulding mission through their everyday interactions with patients, families, and staff.
The annual award recognizes individuals who embody Spaulding Rehabilitation’s core values and principles and who serve as an inspiration and model to other caregivers. Award recipients are caregivers who embrace teamwork to achieve the best patient outcomes, who also displays extraordinary compassion in caring for patients and who exemplifies the values of Innovation, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect and Excellence in all they do.
