Greg Jackson, MRC, Named Spaulding Rehabilitation President

Greg JacksonGreg Jackson, MRC, has been named by Mass General Brigham to a dual role as president and chief operating officer of Spaulding Rehabilitation, effective immediately. Jackson has served as interim president since last September and as COO since May 2023, when he first came to Spaulding following a comprehensive nationwide search.

Jackson is an inclusive and creative leader who has built a strong, results-oriented track record of improving patient outcomes and increasing the efficiency of care delivery. He has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, and brings a wealth of experience in acute care, orthopedic, neuroscience and rehabilitation medicine. Jackson is well versed in the regulatory issues and length of stay challenges for physical medicine and rehabilitation, and he has experience growing new programs in academic medical environments. In addition, Jackson’s down-to-earth, grassroots style of leadership has endeared him to staff, patients and their families, and our communities.

He began his career as a medical lab technician, receiving his bachelor's degree in psychology and master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from Arkansas State University. He previously served as CEO of CHI Franciscan Rehab Hospital in Tacoma, Washington.

Jackson is well-positioned to lead Spaulding as it continues to enhance its position as a premier academic center of rehabilitation services and provide excellent, quality-centered care in support of Mass General Brigham’s four-part mission.
