Senior Director of Finance

Samantha (Sam) DeSantis, CPA, MBA leads the Spaulding Rehabilitation operations and capital budget processes, overseeing Spaulding Rehabilitation’s finance and patient access professionals, and serving as a key member of the Spaulding Executive Team. She works collaboratively with leadership and the executive team to implement financial strategies while maintaining high quality patient care.

Prior to joining Spaulding Rehabilitation, Sam previously served as the vice president of finance and chief financial officer for Steward Health Care’s Nashoba Valley Medical Center. There, she managed multiple departments, oversaw the annual operating budget and served as a key member of their leadership team. She has extensive experience in healthcare finance and her strategic leadership is rooted in a detailed knowledge of the budgeting process, service line analysis and operational and financial process efficiencies.

Sam graduated cum laude from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and management. She has her Master of Business Administration from Bentley University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
