About

Dating back to medical school at Robert Wood Johnson, Dr. Eng has always been passionate about musculoskeletal and sports medicine and the functional outcomes of her patients.  This led her to pursue a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, which is where she discovered her enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring.  After completing her physiatry residency, she chose to further my expertise in sports medicine and spine care here at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital/ Harvard Medical School.  She continues to offer an unwavering commitment to high-quality evidence-based care, a spirit of collaboration and team-based approach to medicine.

In addition to having extensive training in musculoskeletal-sports medicine, she is proficient with musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided peripheral injections, regenerative injection options including platelet-rich plasma and stem cell aspirate injections, concussion management, management of the female athlete, and spine care which is beneficial to understanding the complete realm of musculoskeletal medicine.  She has a specific interest in women’s musculoskeletal health and have specific research regarding the core abdominal muscles in the post-partum woman.

She utilizes her passion for gymnastics, which she participated in as a youth, to further hone her specialization within sports medicine.  She is currently working on some projects regarding the role of biomechanics and injury within gymnastics.  She also has personal interests in a multitude of sports including skiing, rock-climbing, Ultimate Frisbee, and martial arts which help her to better serve her patients.

She is committed to teaching and mentoring trainees, peers, and the public and has given numerous lectures on musculoskeletal medicine and ultrasound.

She has a passionate desire to improve the quality of life and function of my musculoskeletal sports and spine patients. Crucial to her success in these positions has been her ability to succeed in an environment where evidence-based decision-making, a commitment to integrity, and excellent communication skills are fundamental.  Her first commitment is patient care with a focus on teaching and research which helps her to better serve her patients.
