Erika Yih, MD
Hometown: Marlboro, New Jersey
Medical School: University of Pittsburgh
Clinical Interests: I'm pursuing fellowship in pain medicine. I chose PM&R because of its focus on function, quality of life, and the big picture. I like how our goals are neatly aligned with our patients' goals. I didn't decide to go into pain medicine until early PGY-3 year, which felt late compared to many of my peers, but I think it's a valuable additional skillset to be able to address pain as a factor limiting patients from living their lives as they want to.
Fun fact/Hobby: Tennis, hiking/backpacking, rock climbing, biking, traveling (pre-COVID), playing guitar, hanging out with furry friends (I live with 2 cats, 2 dogs, and 2 humans, and we have also been fostering kittens.)
