Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Honored by Us News and World Report "America's Best Hospitals"
BOSTON-Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital has again been recognized as one the top rehabilitation hospitals in the country, achieving a rank of #6 in the 2015 US News and World Report “America’s Best Hospitals” issue. Spaulding continues to be the only rehabilitation hospital in New England ranked each year since 1995.
“This designation is something all of us at Spaulding take enormous pride in as a validation of our work to improve quality of life for people with disabilities and their families,” said David E. Storto, President, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. “Our groundbreaking research, state of the art new facility and vibrant community programs all contribute to make Spaulding one of the leading centers of healing in the country.”
Spaulding continues to grow its standing as a leader in care, research and education with new efforts such as the Spaulding Stroke Recovery and Research Institute and the Kelley Adaptive Sports Research Institute. Spaulding is also only the second hospital nationwide to be designated as a Model Systems site in all three disciplines of Traumatic Brain Injury, Burn and Spinal Cord Injury.
“This recognition by our peers is incredibly gratifying as it reinforces our commitment to continue to grow as a center of research, education and care for our field,” Dr. Ross Zafonte, Senior Vice President of Research, Education and Medical Affairs for Spaulding and the Chair of the Harvard Medical School Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
