Leslie S. Feinberg

Chief of Staff

Reporting to the President of Spaulding Rehabilitation and Chief of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Leslie serves as a systemwide leader and senior advisor providing strategic counsel and operational support. Leslie oversees government affairs, community relations, Spaulding board operations, and drives strategic initiatives between Spaulding and Mass General Brigham’s integrated healthcare system.

Leslie has extensive experience in government relations, public affairs, nonprofit advocacy, and healthcare administration in various roles throughout her career. Prior to Spaulding, Leslie spent 8 years as Senior Director of Government Relations, Director of Education, and Director of Network Development, at the Red Sox Foundation & Massachusetts General Hospital’s Home Base Program, the largest private-sector mental health and brain injury clinic in the U.S. dedicated to healing the invisible wounds of war for veterans, service members and their families. In this capacity, she managed relationships with senior officials and other government stakeholders while carrying out Home Base's state and federal policy agenda. Leslie oversaw Home Base's statewide suicide prevention initiative, which included managing nine roundtables across the Commonwealth in collaboration with elected officials, first responders, veteran service officers, community health centers, hospitals, and advocacy groups. She also oversaw a statewide education and training initiative to better equip first responders and healthcare professionals to recognize, assist, and refer returning service members who are suffering from the invisible wounds of war.

Before joining Home Base, Leslie worked as a Policy Advisor for U.S. Senator John F. Kerry. Prior to that Leslie worked for both Boston and DC-based public affairs firms. Leslie currently serves on the board of directors for the New England Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and is a Steering Committee member for the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation’s New Frontier Network. Leslie graduated cum laude from Georgetown University and received a Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
