FAQs

How do I apply for your program?
You must apply via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). We do not accept any other application method.

What openings are there in your program?
We are accepting applications via ERAS for the PGY­2 year. There are no vacancies at any other level of the program.

Do you offer positions outside the Match?
No. All eight of our positions are offered through the Match. No positions are offered outside the Match.

Do you offer a transitional/preliminary year?
We do not offer a transitional/preliminary year. Our program is a three-year specialty residency. We require that you complete an ACGME-accredited transitional/preliminary year prior to starting our program.

What is the deadline for applications?
There is no deadline for application submission, however we encourage applications to be submitted prior to October 15th.

Is there a limit on number of application attempts?
There is no limit on the number of application attempts. However, we urge you not to reapply unless you have made substantial changes and additions to your application.

What can I do to increase my chances of admission?
We are looking for applicants who are genuinely interested in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation and who have the skills to become leaders in the field themselves. Genuine interest is assessed by how committed you have been to the field throughout your medical career. Have you taken electives in PM&R? Have you performed relevant research?

Do you accept International Medical Graduates (IMGs)?
Yes, we do accept IMGs, and have graduated several from our program. All our IMGs had truly exceptional academic credentials. All of our IMGs are certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
