Stacey Aaron, PhD
Stacey is a post-doctoral researcher, who completed her doctoral training at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2017. As part of her doctoral research, she studied various exercise intervention strategies (e.g. functional electrical stimulation during cycling, POWER training, high-intensity interval training, etc.) and their effect on functional outcomes in stroke survivors. As part of her postdoctoral training, Stacey is applying the knowledge she have gained over the thirteen years as an adjuvant to current standard rehabilitative therapies. Within the Cerebrovascular Research Lab,oratory, she is seeking to complement her expertise in exercise physiology and rehabilitation sciences with experience in human cardiovascular and cerebrovascular physiology. Stacey's post-doctoral research is focused on investigations of the utility of aerobic exercise training to improve cerebrovascular function and to mitigate cognitive decline in stroke survivors.
Jason Hamner, BS
Jason is a senior biomedical engineer working in the Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Research Laboratories in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Spaulding Hospital Cambridge. He has expertise in signal processing and data analysis with particular focus on cardiovascular and cerebrovascular hemodynamic control and autonomic neuroscience.
Erin Ozturk, BS
Erin is a clinical research assistant in the Cerebrovascular Research Laboratory. She is currently involved in research investigating cerebrovascular function after spinal cord injury. She is also working on a research study to explore changes in resting cerebrovascular function and cerebrovascular responses to exercise in adolescents who experienced a concussion. Erin is currently and undergraduate senior at Harvard University studying Cognitive Neuroscience and Evolutionary Psychology, with a minor in Neurobiology.
