The Kelley Adaptive Sports Research Institute is a national model for research of the impact of adaptive sports on the well-being of individuals with disability and their communities.
The Institute’s mission is to “advance research that is participant-centered, collaborative, and outcomes-based in order to promote and expand inclusive opportunities for health and wellness among individuals of all abilities.”
Research at the Institute engages athletes at all levels – from developmental to elite – and focuses on innovation and technology in this important and advancing field of medicine, while also emphasizing the impact of adaptive sports on key psychosocial outcomes such as employment and community integration.
Kelley Adaptive Sports Research Institute works closely with the Spaulding Adaptive Sports Centers, and together they are a national model for high-quality programming, research, education and advocacy. As a world-class leader in adaptive sports and a Harvard Medical School affiliated teaching hospital, Spaulding provides excellent educational opportunities for physicians in training and clinicians from many disciplines.
