Hand Therapy at Spaulding Hyannis
A hand or upper extremity injury or surgery can be devastating. Your life changes and we understand that. Our goal is to minimize the time away from your livelihood and the things you love – to help you return to your highest level of function. Together, we’ll take an approach to therapy that is evidence-based and is unique to not only your injury but to your goals and the lifestyle you want to return to.
Spaulding's Approach to Hand Therapy
Our Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Certified Hand Therapists will evaluate your condition and promote recovery for a wide variety of upper extremity disorders. Many of our centers have CHT’s on site. A CHT is an OT or PT who has advanced education and clinical experience. In addition, a CHT has passed a comprehensive exam in knowledge and clinical skills of upper extremity rehabilitation. Our teams work closely with other medical professionals involved in your care, including hand surgeons, to provide you with the best care.
