- Other Forms of Lung Disease
We’ll work with you to decrease dependency on oxygen and other medications and do everything we can to improve your quality of life.
Spaulding's Approach to Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Working together, your physician-led rehabilitation team provides customized care based on your condition and needs, including psychological needs. Our goal is to help you become as independent as possible, and to reduce your dependence on oxygen and other medications. Living with chronic respiratory disease can be emotionally challenging for you and your families. Our trained clinicians can help.
Our pulmonary program offers progressively intensive therapy, according to your tolerance and physical abilities. The process can be a difficult one, but our clinicians bring both expertise and compassion to their work, providing encouragement at every turn.
Family members are an essential part of the process too. We provide extensive education and support to help ensure that you and your family have the resources and knowledge you need both during your stay and after you’ve returned home.
Pulmonary teams across Spaulding participate in the Ventilator Weaning Program at Spaulding Hospital for Continuing Medical Care Cambridge. The program has helped free patients from ventilator dependence, with some of the best outcomes in the nation.
