Greg Jackson, MRC
Title: Interim President and Chief Operating Officer of Spaulding Rehabilitation
Greg Jackson, MRC is Spaulding Rehabilitation’s Interim President and Chief Operating Officer. In this Spaulding-wide leadership role, he oversees operations and strategic planning for the Inpatient Rehabilitation departments at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cape Cod, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital for Continuing Medical Care Cambridge, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Nursing and Therapy Center Brighton.
Greg has over 30 years of experience in healthcare with over 20 of those years in increasingly complex leadership roles. Greg comes to Spaulding with a wealth of experience in acute care, orthopedic, neuroscience and rehabilitation medicine.
Throughout his career, Greg has built a strong, results-oriented track record of improving patient outcomes and increasing the efficiency of care delivery. He is well versed in regulatory issues, acute care continuum of care, and length of stay challenges, and has experience growing new programs in academic medical environments. Greg began his career as a medical lab technician, before earning his bachelor’s degree in psychology and his master’s of rehabilitation counseling from Arkansas State University.

Keith Beers, MBA, LNHA
Title: Executive Director
Education: BA Emmanuel College, international MBA in Healthcare Management at Southern New Hampshire University
Keith started his professional career at the North End Rehab and Nursing Center, what would later become Spaulding North End as the Admissions Coordinator. Keith moved into the Patient Financial Counselor role before becoming the Director of Admissions at the North End before transitioning to Spaulding West Roxbury as the Director of Admissions. Keith was the co-chair of the Service Excellence Team at SWR to improve both employee and patient satisfaction. After four years as the Director of Admissions at SWR, Keith moved to Partners Information Systems where he supported the clinical applications at Spaulding North End and West Roxbury. Keith served as the Associate Executive Director for Spaulding Brighton while also completing the requirements to becoming a licensed administrator.

Louis Waldman, MD, CMD
Title: Senior Medical Director - Inpatient Operations
Education: BS Computer Science, Massachusetts Institute of Technology; MD, University of Pennsylvania; Internal Medicine Residency, New York-Presbyterian, Weill Cornell; Geriatrics Fellowship, Yale University
Dr. Waldman has extensive experience serving as a post-acute care attending and served as the Associate Medical Director for Spaulding Brighton prior to his transition to Medical Director. Dr. Waldman remains involved with The Society for Post-Acute Long-Term Care and has achieved competencies as a Certified Medical Director. He brings a deep knowledge of technology in medicine, also serving as Medical Director of Inpatient Virtual Care for Spaulding Rehabilitation. Dr. Waldman is a leader of integrating technology and care in the skilled nursing setting to improve outcomes. Dr. Waldman continues to serve as a clinician and educator as an Instructor at Harvard Medical School, a member of the Brigham and Women’s Division of Aging, and mentor to MGH Geriatrics Fellows.

Martha Kaniaru, DNP, RN, CRRN, NEA-BC
Title: Interim Associate Chief Nurse
Martha Kaniaru, DNP, RN, CRRN, NEA-BC, is the Interim Associate Chief Nursing Officer at Spaulding Nursing and Therapy Center in Brighton, Massachusetts. She is responsible for overseeing the management and clinical aspects of patient care services, as well as the daily operations of the nursing division. Martha is known for her authentic leadership skills. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from MGH Institute of Health Professions, Boston, MA and is committed to promoting rehabilitation and executive nursing in post-acute and skilled nursing environments. Martha is passionate about innovating nursing practice, developing preceptors, and advancing nursing education. She holds certifications in Rehabilitation Nursing, Nurse Executive, and Addictions. Additionally, Martha is actively involved in nursing research and participates in various research endeavors.

William J. Reilly, MS, OTR/L
Title: Director of Inpatient Therapy
Education: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Tufts University; undergraduate degree is from Saint John’s Seminary College
Recognitions: Clinical Practice Leader on the Pulmonary and Cardiac units at Youville Hospital; Director of Rehabilitation, Spaulding Nursing and Therapy Center Brighton
William Reilly, MS, OTR/L is the director of rehabilitation for Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital for Continuing Care Cambridge and Spaulding Rehabilitation Nursing and Therapy Center Brighton. He is passionate about rehabilitation for medically complex patients.
Prior to taking on leadership roles, he worked with cardio-pulmonary and ventilation patients at Spaulding Cambridge. He has also previously served as a case manager for long-term care patients with traumatic brain injuries and behavioral diagnoses. Bill has his BS from St. John’s Seminary College and his MS in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University.

Jonathon Schwartz, MD
Title: Medical Director
Education: BA in chemistry, Johns Hopkins University; MD, Temple University; Residency: Internal medicine, Boston Medical Center; Fellowship: Nephrology, Boston Medical Center.
Recognitions: Led numerous symposia and given multiple lectures on varied topics from medical education, physician-patient relationship to nephrology management for primary care doctors as well as intensivists. He received outstanding teacher awards as a resident and teaching undergraduate chemistry.
