Prosthetic BOOST Therapy Program at Spaulding Outpatient Boston

An intensive outpatient-based rehabilitation program for those with limb loss

Spaulding’s one-of-a-kind Prosthetic BOOST Therapy Program can help those with limb loss maximize their level of function and achieve and maintain higher levels of independence and safety. The BOOST Program incorporates multiple, consecutive days of intensive physical therapy, as well as access to other providers based on individual needs.

The BOOST Program can help you with the following:

  • Improve your ability to use your prosthesis
  • Fine-tune your gait and mobility
  • Transition to community-based activities
  • Optimize ability to safely use prothesis in various settings

BOOST Therapy visits are at no cost to the patients as they are generously supported through grant funding. Former and current Spaulding Rehabilitation patients are eligible to apply for the program.

BOOST Equipment Grant

The BOOST equipment grant provides funding for specialty prosthetic equipment that is not eligible for insurance reimbursement. Former recipients have benefitted from specialty equipment awards including (but not limited to) waterproof prostheses, running prostheses, and snow sport prostheses. Former and current Spaulding Rehabilitation patients are eligible to apply for equipment funding.
