Community Fundraising Tips and Tricks

Interested in community fundraising?

Host a fundraiser as an individual, with your family and friends, or students and children, and have fun doing it! We welcome people of all ages and abilities to join our mission and make an impact on the lives of those living with injury, illness, or disability. Your support will aid the groundbreaking research and quality patient care at Spaulding Rehabilitation. We greatly appreciate your interest in fundraising!

How to host your own fundraising event

  1. Fill out the Community Fundraising Interest Form.
  2. A Spaulding representative will reach out to learn more about your fundraiser.
  3. Once your fundraiser is approved, your personal Spaulding representative will assist in setting up your online fundraising page.
  4. Your personal Spaulding representative will continue to support you by providing resources for your fundraising efforts and event planning process.

As a thank you for being a valued member of the Spaulding community, you will receive:

  • Spaulding branded gifts

Impact in Action

A hockey game at Madison Square Garden.

The Travis Roy Hockey Classic is an annual charity ice hockey game held at the historic Madison Square Garden in New York City. It has raised more than $1.5 million dollars to improve the lives of individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI).

Two women do adaptive yoga while seated in chairs.

Yoga for All was started by twin sisters Joy and Judy, who believe in the power of yoga and are passionate about providing access to yoga for people of all abilities. After being a patient at Spaulding Rehabilitation, Joy was inspired to create a yoga program at Spaulding for people like her. Joy and Judy fundraise each year to help provide more inclusive, accessible yoga classes to people.

Community Fundraising Guidelines

Spaulding Rehabilitation needs to approve all fundraisers using our name and logo to ensure we are being accurately represented in our community.

Event organizers are responsible for planning and promoting their fundraising effort, arranging volunteers and all day-of support, soliciting donations and/or sponsorships, producing and distributing communication and marketing materials, paying for all event-related expenses, and coordinating media coverage and distributing press releases with prior approval from Spaulding’s Development and Marketing Departments.

For questions or more information on community fundraising, please contact Michele Spaulding at mmspaulding@mgb.org.
