As part of your residency at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, you can receive course credit from Harvard Medical School by participating in a PM&R medical school elective. Offered to U.S. and International allopathic & osteopathic medical students in the last year of training, this four-week elective presents an amazing opportunity to grow as a practitioner and set the stage for future success for you and your patients.

Introduction to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Join small group interactive didactics, with clinical guidance and supervision, exposure to patient encounters, and daily feedback regarding clinical and presentation skills in patient service as well as acute care consults.

Pediatric Rehabilitation
Gain experience with families of children who have special needs. You’ll work to understand the pathophysiology of a variety of disabling conditions, and how to evaluate treatment options within a family centered care model in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
