Sports Medicine Fellowship
Dive deep into an integrated, multidisciplinary sports medicine curriculum designed to help you become one of tomorrow’s leaders in primary care sports medicine.
Objective
The Sports Medicine Fellowship of the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and the Harvard Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation provide you with an integrated, multidisciplinary sports medicine curriculum. Our goal is to train world-class academic sports medicine physiatrists to become leaders in the subspecialty of primary care sports medicine.
Schedule
12-month fellowship is designed to meet the objectives and requirements as outlined by the American Board of PM&R for subspecialty certification in Primary Care Sports Medicine. Currently, one fellow per year is accepted into the program and upon starting, you become eligible for an appointment at Harvard Medical School through the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Clinical rotations are divided into four three-month blocks to meet educational requirements.
Eligibility
As an ideal candidate for the Sports Medicine Fellowship, you must be intelligent, hardworking and well respected in your residency program. In addition, you must possess clear teaching and leadership skills, and a plan for subspecialty academic, clinical and research interest within Sports Medicine.
