Parking

Parking is available for visitors and outpatient appointments below the hospital at 300 First Ave. Charlestown, MA 02129.

MBTA

Take the commuter rail or either the Green subway line or Orange subway line to North Station. Visit the official MBTA website for detailed transit information. From North station, take the Spaulding Express shuttle, the Mass General Brigham shuttle, a Hubway bicycle, or walk to our campus. From Sullivan Station, take the Public Bus #93. This bus stops at the corner of Warren and Chelsea Streets for convenient access to Spaulding Boston. The RIDE is available for persons with disabilities who need public transport.

Mass General Brigham and Spaulding offer two shuttles to the Charlestown Navy Yard daily, except holidays. Both shuttles are FREE to all riders.

Shuttle

“Spaulding Express”

Spaulding will supplement the existing Mass General Brigham shuttles into the Navy Yard during peak commuting hours. Take the Mass General Brigham shuttles displaying a “Spaulding Express” placard from North Station. The shuttles pick up on the corner of Haverhill Street (across from the TD Garden) and drive directly to the Spaulding Shuttle stop.

Schedule

Monday through Friday: approximately every 10 minutes from 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

From Massachusetts General Hospital

Take any Mass General Brigham shuttle displaying an "MGH/CNY" placard, which departs Massachusetts General Hospital from the shuttle stop located between the Jackson Building doors and the Blossom Street loading dock (after 6:00 p.m., it moves to Gray Building doors).

Schedule

Monday through Friday: Every 15 minutes at 5:30 a.m. – 7:45 p.m.; every half hour at 8:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. Weekends: Every half hour at 9:00 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.

Arriving by Ferry

The Navy Yard can be reached from Long Wharf, (Aquarium stop on the Blue line) via the Inner Harbor Ferry, Route F4. Long Wharf is within walking distance of South Station (Red line) and State Street (Orange, Blue lines). View ferry schedule.

Cost: Inner Harbor Ferry is $3.00 for adults, one way. Fare for Seniors and people with disabilities (with Charlie Transport Access Pass (TAP) Card) is half fare each way. See details of Reduced Fare programs.

Bicycle

A Bluebikes bike station is adjacent to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and one currently in front of North Station. With a membership, bikes can be taken out of one station and brought to another, and the first 30 minutes of a Hubway bike ride are free.
