About the Paralysis Center
Physicians at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Paralysis Center work to restore function to patients suffering from neurological diseases or injuries.
Paralysis can be the result of disease or injury, and its effects can vary from person to person. Sometimes it is confined to a small area like the fingers or a hand while other times it affects an entire limb or side of the body. Paralysis can also be temporary or permanent.
We specialize in improving the lives of patients who have lost function due to a number of causes, including stroke, spinal cord injury or brachial plexus injury. We offer a variety of treatment options, and we assess each patient to determine the best course of action for their unique conditions. When surgery is necessary, our multidisciplinary team allows us to provide patients with the best care possible.
We specialize in:
- Treating brachial plexus injuries
- Treating spinal cord injuries
- Restoring function after stroke
Our goal is to provide our patients with the most comprehensive medical treatment and innovative procedures available to restore motion and quality of life.
