For more than 15 years, Audiology Services at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network have improved hearing and quality of life for adults and children.
The Spaulding Network’s audiologists are highly skilled professionals who diagnose and treat hearing loss. They promote healthy hearing, communication competency, and quality of life through education in hearing loss prevention, assessment of hearing loss, and rehabilitation of hearing through hearing aids, auditory function, balance and other related systems.
Our audiologists provide diagnostic evaluation services including:
- Age-appropriate evaluation of hearing thresholds and speech understanding
- Otoacoustic emission measures (to test cochlear function)
- Tests of middle ear function
- Central auditory processing evaluations
We also offer auditory rehabilitation and hearing aids management services including:
- Hearing aid evaluation, sales, repairs
- Real Ear Aided Analysis
- Speech mapping (to accurately set the hearing aids)
The Spaulding Network’s audiologists, based on Cape Cod, are licensed and certified by the American Academy of Audiology. Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital Cape Cod is a Level Three approved Audiological Assessment/ Diagnostic Center for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Universal Newborn Hearing Screening Program.
Directed by Sandra Stumpf Reams, AuD, CCC-A, FAAA, a board-certified Audiologist, Spaulding Cape Cod has provided audiology services for adults and children for more than 15 years. Sandra is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, the American Speech Language Hearing Association, and the Educational Audiology Association. She has received many awards for her continuing education in the field of Audiology.
