Patient and Family Advisory Council
At each Spaulding hospital is a Patient & Family Advisory Council (PFAC). The PFAC is a committee that was developed to encourage increased collaboration between hospital leadership, clinical staff, and patients/families, including increased identification of the needs and priorities of patients and their families.
The Council is devoted to providing input on how to improve the patient and family healthcare experience. Our aim is to consider the unique perspective patients and family members have to offer as Spaulding continues to fulfill its commitment to improving the care of both our inpatients and outpatients.
PFAC's Mission:
- Ensure the needs and priorities of our patients and their families are recognized in all aspects of patient care.
- Give a voice to our patients and family members so their input can be heard on all issues that impact their healthcare journey.
- Strengthen the communication between patients, family members, and hospital leadership when planning and evaluating services, programs, and policies.
