Spaulding Rehabilitation has 3 hospitals, a skilled nursing facility and outpatient centers throughout Eastern Massachusetts which share a mission to improve the quality of life for people experiencing illness, injury, and disability.

The forefront of innovation

Spaulding Rehabilitation is at the forefront of innovative treatment for major disabling conditions, including spinal cord injury (SCI), traumatic brain injury (TBI), other traumatic injuries, stroke, and neuromuscular disorders such as multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and Parkinson’s disease. At Spaulding, the treatment goals go far beyond immediate rehabilitation to address long-term health and function. Our clinicians are particularly gifted at instilling hope and encouraging patients as they work to return to their lives in the community.

Current research programs

Research is about pushing boundaries and finding new clinical and recovery pathways. Our efforts include more than 100 research studies and clinical trials with many more on the horizon.
